EPCOT Is “Finished” According To Disney But Fans Are Not Impressed With “Upgrades”

EPCOT is apparently “finished” according to the higher-ups at Disney. The Walt Disney World theme park was under construction for years, but many feel the spine area was a waste of space and time. Some even joke that Disney just wasted money and pushed dirt around.

Their new garden space called “World Celebration Gardens” looks stark and like a female body part.

The lights around the area are already not working.

Those lights started having issues within a couple of days of opening.

Moana’s Journey of Water has issues with water features often as well, but those seem to get repaired.

Many are complaining about how stark and concrete the park is now.

To be fair, some of the colors are only available during the Flower and Garden Festival.

Many hate the new CommuniCore Hall.

I sincerely think CommuniCore Hall and the concrete outside are meant to be a base for adding visual excitement during the festivals. However, Disney should keep them visually exciting all the time, even if they rotate things out. People visit EPCOT 365 days a year and not only when festivals are happening.

Then there’s the Morocco fountain.

For whatever reason they removed the original tile patterns that were placed by actual artisans from Morocco and replaced them with tile that looks like it came out of a store bathroom.

I think many fans agree that the C-suite spent a lot on the New Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and France upgrades and now they are cutting costs everywhere else.

While EPCOT might look good at night, it’s mostly open during daylight hours. It needs to look good all the time.
