Is Disney Desperate? After 2 PM Discount Tickets Released For Summer 2026 at Walt Disney World

Disney must be getting worried that their theme park attendance might be dropping. Besides putting out four-day Walt Disney World Park tickets starting at $100 a day, free dining, free dining for kids, and steep hotel discounts, they are now offering special tickets for park entry after 2 PM.

From May 26 – July 29, 2026, Disney is offering theme park tickets for entry after 2 PM.

You must purchase a 2-Day or 3-Day after 2 PM ticket for this offer.

Tickets are valid for admission after 2 PM to one of Walt Disney World’s four theme parks – EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  This is one park/day ticket, so park hopping is not available.

“The 2-day ticket must be used within 4 days of the selected start date and the 3-day ticket must be used within 5 days of the selected start date.

All tickets and options are nontransferable and nonrefundable, and exclude activities/events separately priced.”

2-day tickets start at $118 per day, and 3-day tickets start at $116 per day.

Frankly, this isn’t a great deal when you can buy a full-day ticket for prices starting at $100 / day for 4 days.  Most days run in the $127-$150 range.

According to Fox 35, a three-day (after 2 PM) ticket could cost as much or more than a 4-day one-park-per-day ticket. But it depends on the days.

The two-day ticket starts at $235 and can cost as much as $315.81, according to the Disney World website. The three-day ticket ranges between $346.44 and $462.50.”

When compared to regular/full price tickets, it is a bit of a savings, but you lose several hours of park time. If Disney is initiating this, then they want more bodies in the parks, which means higher crowd levels and more people paying for expensive Lightning Lane or Individual Lightning Lane upcharges.

This isn’t Disney being “nice” and trying to make the parks more affordable for people. This is Disney trying to get more people in so they can make more money and make more revenue per user (RPU).

If you were planning on visiting Walt Disney World Parks anyway, this could save you some money. I would use a Disney travel agent or check each deal thoroughly to see what is going to give you the most bang for your buck.
