Disney Sea in Japan has just demonstrated the danger of outdoor animatronics, and it’s not something most of us would think of–birds. Crows specifically.
A new video shows crows ripping the hair off of an animatronic Rapunzel. This specific character is outside, and the birds are seen pulling out her hair, presumably for nesting material.
Check it out.

According to Pop Base on X, the animatronic has been removed.
The internet has some thoughts

“the animatronic has since been removed” is the most corporate response to two birds eating fake hair. not “we added a net.” not “we shooed the birds.” they removed the entire princess. the crows won. they showed up. they ate. rapunzel is gone. the crows are still there. this is…

Nature always finds a way to steal the show! Those clever crows are just letting their hair down and turning Rapunzel’s locks into a cozy nest. Talk about a fairy tale twist! 😅

Disney spends billions on ‘Imagineering’ to create a perfect, sterile fantasy, only for two crows to show up and remind everyone that nature doesn’t care about your IP.

Flyn just can’t believe what he just saw, same goes for the cameleon and us too. pic.twitter.com/6FtpnXq78W

It stands to reason that if something is outside, nature may move in.
Crows are incredibly intelligent. They know good nesting material when they see it.
Disney needs to put some crows in the live-action film as a nod to this moment, but do they have the humor left to do it?
