Avengers: Doomsday trailer dropped showcasing the massive character roster

Marvel Studios dropped the “Avengers”: Doomsday” trailer this morning, and its purpose seems to be showcasing the extensive character list and nostalgia.

In the new trailer, we see the various teams seemingly fighting each other. The X-Men are there, as are the Fantastic Four, Wakanda, and the Avengers. Oh, and Loki and Steve are back.

Honestly, this seems to line up with the plot leaks we heard earlier.

I do have to say that it is inspiring to see all the various teams together, but it feels very “Avengers: Endgame” with all these groups teaming up.

Deja Vu-esque.

I do think the Russo brothers are leaning into the nostalgia for the first ten years to try and win people back.

Thor is himself again

After several years of buddy comedy Thor, we have a more serious version of him taking the lead (which was also a plot leak).

He’s more like the Thor from the early MCU films, and that is refreshing to see.

As for being the leader, well, he is a God. It’s about time they let him act like it again.

Here is the trailer.

So far, the character list for this film is extensive and includes,

Thor, Loki, Captain America, Steve Rogers, Sentry, Doctor Doom, Falcon, Shuri, Namor, Yelena, Shang Chi, Ant-Man, Red Guardian, Bucky, M’Baku, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, Ben Grimm, Professor X, Magneto, Mystique, Cyclops, Beast, Nightcrawler, Cassie Lang, Gambit, Ghost, John Walker, Deadpool, America Chavez, Peggy Carter, and even more.

This could be very exciting and well done, or it could end up overwhelming and cluttered.

Let’s hope it is exciting and well done.

But Thor is back on December 18, 2026.
