Disney+, Hulu and ESPN subscribers can enter every day through Nov. 19 for a two-night trip to the red carpet premiere of Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday, which opens in theaters Dec. 18.
Your Disney+ subscription might be worth a trip to the red carpet. A new Disney+ Perks sweepstakes is giving one winner and a guest a trip to the Avengers: Doomsday world premiere.
Entries opened Oct. 29 and run through the morning of Nov. 19. You can enter once a day, every day, which is the closest thing to a cheat code a sweepstakes allows.
The prize covers three days and two nights in either Los Angeles or New York City, plus ground transportation and a two-night hotel stay. Disney hasn’t said which city will host the premiere yet, so the winner won’t know where they’re headed until it’s locked in.
Marvel’s newest trailer gives a sense of what’s waiting on the other side of that red carpet:
Who can enter the Avengers: Doomsday premiere sweepstakes?
Subscribers. The perk is open to people with a Disney+, Hulu or ESPN subscription, so if you pay for any piece of the Disney streaming bundle, you’re in the running.
Entries go through the Disney+ Perks page, the same hub Disney uses for discounts, freebies and other contests tied to its movies and shows.
Past Disney+ Perks contests, like the one for the live-action Moana premiere this summer, carried a no-purchase-necessary free entry method in their official rules. Read the rules on the Perks page before you enter so you know the eligibility details.
What does the Avengers: Doomsday premiere trip include?
Here’s what Disney is offering:
-
A trip for the winner and one guest to the Avengers: Doomsday world premiere
-
Three days and two nights in Los Angeles or New York City
-
A two-night hotel stay
-
Ground transportation
The big one for Marvel fans is obvious. Premiere guests usually see the movie before anyone else, weeks before it opens in theaters on Friday, Dec. 18.
Is this the only way to win a Doomsday premiere trip?
Nope. Disney and Marvel have been handing out premiere trips all year.
D23’s FANtastic Prizes sweepstakes, which ended in August, included a red carpet trip for a winner and a guest. Fandango ran its own premiere contest when early tickets went on sale, and Kabam put a premiere trip at the top of its Ultimate Doom Sweepstakes for Marvel Contest of Champions players.
Smirnoff has a Doomsday contest of its own. That one’s for the grown-ups.
What is Avengers: Doomsday about?
It’s the next big team-up movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the villain is the headline. Robert Downey Jr., who played Tony Stark for more than a decade, is back as Doctor Doom.
That casting news broke the internet when it was announced, and Marvel has leaned into it with every trailer and poster since. Doom’s metal mask is all over the merch, too.
Avengers: Doomsday is directed by the Russo brothers, who also made Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
What other Disney+ Perks are available now?
The Doomsday contest isn’t the only perk on the board this fall. Disney+ subscribers can get $10 off tickets to Disney’s Hexed before Nov. 25, and 30% off at the ESPN Store.
Disney+ Perks also offered a free Park Hopper upgrade at Disney World earlier this fall.
What other Avengers: Doomsday treats are out?
Plenty, and most of them involve snacks. AMC’s popcorn bucket is a Doctor Doom statue, Cinemark’s lights up, and Jack in the Box rolls out a Doomsday dipping box on Nov. 5. Dunkin’ already has its own Marvel menu.
If you don’t win the trip, at least you can win the popcorn bucket game.
