It’s switchover week at Disneyland Paris. Halloween decor is coming down, a Christmas tree is already up in the Disneyland Hotel lobby, and Disney Enchanted Christmas starts Saturday, Nov. 7.
Disneyland Paris doesn’t waste time. The Disney Halloween Festival wrapped up on Sunday, Nov. 1, and by Monday morning crews were already pulling pumpkins and hanging garlands.
The resort calls it switchover week, and fans who love seeing the parks in between seasons have a front-row seat. Disney Enchanted Christmas officially starts Saturday, Nov. 7, and runs through Jan. 6, 2027.
Disneyland Paris fan account DLPReport spent Monday morning tracking the changes, and some spots are already full-on Christmas.
For a preview of what the season will look like once the decorations are done, here’s a guide to Christmas at Disneyland Paris:
What’s changing at Disneyland Paris this week?
Here’s what’s already moved from spooky to festive:
-
The Disneyland Hotel lobby has its Christmas decor up, upstairs and down.
-
Videopolis in Discoveryland is ready to “Sing Christmas.”
-
The traffic jam chalets in Fantasyland are back in their holiday version, and Chalet de la Marionette added gift boxes to its planters.
-
The Halloween set at Castle Stage has been cleared, with just the banners left.
-
On Main Street, U.S.A., the Halloween frames are off the lampposts. The garlands aren’t up yet.
-
Walls are up in Town Square while the Halloween candle shop turns into a Christmas shop.
A few places are stuck in between. Thunder Mesa Mercantile in Frontierland is showing Halloween and Christmas at the same time. Mickey and Minnie were spotted in a mix of Halloween looks and their classic outfits.
Is anything closed at Disneyland Paris during switchover week?
A few things. Main Street Station on the Disneyland Railroad is closed this week during the changeover. To make up for it, Discoveryland Station is open on weekdays this week.
Les Voyages de Pinocchio in Fantasyland is closed for refurbishment until Nov. 13.
One more tip: the info board listed Cafe Hyperion as closed on Monday. It was open. Check the app before you skip lunch.
Can you still get Halloween food at Disneyland Paris?
For a few more days, at some spots. The Lucky Nugget Saloon has dropped its Halloween menu, but Last Chance Cafe and most other quick-service restaurants were still serving Halloween treats on Monday.
Consider this your last call.
What’s new for Christmas 2026 at Disneyland Paris?
The biggest change is World of Frozen. The Arendelle-themed land at Disney Adventure World celebrates its first Christmas this year, starting with the rest of the season on Nov. 7.
Goofy’s Imaginary Orchestra also returns on Nov. 14.
Pin traders get a busy month, too. November pin releases include Christmas designs, a Pin Trading 25th anniversary series and Beauty and the Beast 35th anniversary pins, with a Pin Trading Time event on Nov. 20 at Disney Hotel Santa Fe.
When is Halloween at Disneyland Paris in 2027?
DLPReport thinks the Disney Halloween Festival will probably return on Sept. 25, 2027. Disney hasn’t announced dates yet, so treat that as a best guess.
This year’s festival ended with a special Halloween Night on Oct. 31, including villains on Main Street, a “Nightfall with the Disney Villains” presentation and high-altitude fireworks. Local noise rules only allow those a few times a year, on Halloween, New Year’s Eve and Bastille Day.
Is switchover week a good time to visit Disneyland Paris?
It can be. Crowds are often lighter between the two seasons, and you get to see a bit of both holidays at once. Just expect a few walls, a couple of closures and half-finished decorations.
If you want the full Christmas look, wait until after Nov. 7. If you love behind-the-scenes magic, this is your week.
