Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Keeps Breaking Down Leading to Evacuations and Closures

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is currently running previews for cast members, Annual Passholders, DVC members, D23 members, and more. However, the ride keeps breaking down, causing issues with shutdowns and evacuations.

This new attraction is an overlay of the existing Splash Mountain attraction that opened in 1992. Splash Mountain was known for breaking down before they decided to transform it into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

One would think they would have spent much of their budget on fixing the ride’s mechanical issues. They didn’t seem to spend too much on theming inside the ride. While some great animatronics are scattered throughout the new version, a lot of the new overlay is scenic and has screens, which would be cheaper.

For some reason, the ride is facing a lot of technical issues, according to social media.

Farmeritaville on Youtube has a video where they got stuck.

Hopefully, today goes better for the attraction.

It seems there are sections with more critters than you couldn’t see in Disney’s video; however, there are large expanses of darker areas.

I did stumble upon this. It is concerning.

The “Princess and the Frog” film had everything needed to make a fantastic overlay, including Dr. Facilier. While many people are saying it’s better in person, which I believe, it’s not what it could have been.

It feels like the Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway of the Magic Kingdom.
