After nearly a decade since its original release, The Disney Afternoon Collection is finally headed to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, according to newly confirmed listings on the ESRB and eShop previews.
The compilation developed by Digital Eclipse compiled six Capcom Disney Afternoon games from the 80s and 90s into a single release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It was released in 2017 with enhanced features, but was never available on Switch.
Finally, a Switch and Switch 2 version will be released in the eShop, including two new games–Goof Troop and Bonkers.
The Digital Eclipse compilation includes:
- DuckTales (NES 1989)
- Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers (NES 1990)
- TaleSpin (NES 1991)
- Darkwing Duck (NES 1992)
- DuckTales 2 (NES 1993)
- Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 (NES 1994)
- Goof Troop (SNES 1993)
- Bonkers (SNES 1994)
Enhancements and extras
According to Video Games Chronicle, the collection will “include quick save and rewind features, Boss Rush and Time Attack modes (except in Goof Troop and Bonkers), and online leaderboards for each of these modes.”
An in-game museum will be available in Gallery mode that includes behind-the-scenes footage and content from Disney.
Right now it is showing up on the Japanese eShop, but it will likely be released in other markets as well, likely on February 26, 2026.
