We finally have a look at the upcoming Coraline Skullector doll from Mattel Creations’ Monster High line. I’m not entirely sold on this one.
The doll is based on the 2009 “Coraline” film by Henry Selick. While most of her looks great, her head sculpt doesn’t quite hit the mark. It reminds me more of the Other Mother than it does Coraline herself.
Then again, these are meant to be Monster High adaptations. So maybe Coraline, if she were older and went to Monster High?
She will be around $70 (the prices are creeping up for sure). The rumored date for her is March 13.
I do love that The Cat is with her. The buttons as heels on the boot are also a nice touch.
But I may pass on this one. It will depend on whether my daughter wants her or not.
As many collectors have mentioned, she is great except for the face sculpt.
