Disney has announced that they are walking back part of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to original trilogy theming. This includes meet and greet characters. Luke Skywalker was previously added, and now Han Solo will also be available for guests.
We finally have a look at the new offering that will begin on April 29 in Disneyland.
Never tell me the odds. Meet Han Solo, Captain of the Millennium Falcon, at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park starting April 29. pic.twitter.com/XQnKhckvVt

The fact that they never offered Han Solo near the Millennium Falcon was absolutely insane to me. Han and Chewie are who most “Star Wars” fans think of when they hear the “Millennium Falcon. (Even if Disney wanted it to be Rey and Chewie.)
This should have been a Day 1 offering along with original trilogy characters. In fact, Disney was supposed to make the addition original trilogy-themed until Bob Iger decided that, since “The Force Awakens” did well, Disney needed to make it all “Disney Star Wars.” We all know how that turned out.
X.com users have some opinions as well.
“Disney has no clue what they are doing with this brand lmao” – daffydunc.ron
“Well, look who decided that focusing almost entirely on the Sequel Trilogy wasn’t a good long term idea” – Jon McBrine
“Guess ya’ll got desperate and finally listened. Too late. Everyone moved on.” – Chrissie Mayr
“They bought Star Wars and then made their own off brand Star Wars instead of using Star Wars” – Zach
“You all are JUST NOW putting Han Solo in your STAR WARS THEME PARK?????” – TheBlackLink
“Well, look who decided that focusing almost entirely on the Sequel Trilogy wasn’t a good long term idea” – Saii
I just hope they bring the original trilogy into Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. Even if he doesn’t look a lot like Harrison Ford.
