Disney’s Upcoming Padme Amidala Doll Has Fans Asking “Who’s Face Is This?”

Disney is releasing a new “Star Wars” Padme Amidala doll on May the Fourth, but fans immediately noticed that the face mold does not look like actress Natalie Portman. Discussion about the doll focuses on her odd face mold and not on the collector piece itself.

What does the doll look like?

Disney has posted some images of the doll and her outfit.

If we are being honest, she doesn’t look like Padme to us either. However, the dress is very well done.

Fans are questioning this face mold choice.

If they did reuse a sculpt, they aren’t owning up to it. Disney released a “behind-the-scenes” article about making this doll.

In that article, there are images of someone modeling the head. 

But the overall reception to the doll has not been positive.
