Tomorrowland Transit Authority ‘People Mover’ Still Closed As of This Morning

Heading into it’s third day of closure, the popular People Mover attraction is still not open yet.

It initially went down on Monday around 1PM and has yet to come back online.

Cast Members are not saying what the issue is, but we have to wonder if it is because of the two vehicle collision that happened a couple weeks ago. Perhaps the vehicles are getting too close together or something like that?

This is a couple of months after the loading area filled up with smoke and they conveyor escalator received work to the loading side.

The attraction is incredibly popular with it’s own line of shirts and merchandise at the Walt Disney Resort. I’m hoping this doesn’t mean they will shut it down like they did in Disneyland. Hopefully they just shut it down for a long refurbishment soon instead of taking it offline completely.

In the last couple weeks Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has had quite a few attraction mishaps including the sinking of one of the Jungle Cruise boats (with guests on board,) several day closure of The Haunted Mansion, Monorail Issues, and several issues with the People Mover.

Hopefully they can get it all under control again. It’s normal for attractions to break from time to time, but the recent frequency of issues has been notable.
