Thanksgiving turkey sandwich 2026: Sheetz, Arby’s, Wawa and more

Can’t wait for Thanksgiving leftovers? Sheetz, Arby’s, Wawa, Firehouse Subs and Capriotti’s are selling turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwiches right now. See the full list inside.

Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov. 26. But you don’t have to wait for leftovers to eat a turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwich. A bunch of chains are already selling one.

Sheetz just brought back its holiday menu, Arby’s revived its fried turkey sub and Wawa’s Gobbler is back. Disney Springs has two of its own. Here’s who has a Thanksgiving sandwich right now, who probably will soon and which one we’d pick.

Which restaurants have a Thanksgiving sandwich in 2026?

These are confirmed for this fall:

LATEST PODCAST EPISODE | ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW

  • Sheetz Holidaze Sub: Turkey medallions, shredded cheese, gravy, crispy onions and cranberry-orange relish on a roll with stuffing baked into the bread. Sheetz says its team spent nearly a year on that roll. It runs through early December.

  • Arby’s Deep Fried Turkey Gobbler: Deep-fried turkey with crispy onions, Swiss, stuffing, cranberry spread and mayo on a toasted sub roll. It came back Oct. 26, along with a Deep Fried Turkey Club, for a limited time.

  • Wawa Gobbler: Turkey, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce on a hoagie roll. It returned Sept. 28, according to WOBM, and Wawa has lots of Florida stores.

  • Firehouse Subs Thanksgiving Turkey Sub: Carved turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce on a toasted roll with mayo. Sporked reported it’s back for fall.

  • Capriotti’s The Bobbie: Turkey roasted in-house, stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayo. It’s on the menu all year.

Sheetz also added a Flatzgiving flatbread and a turkey cranberry salad. “There’s something special about the flavors that bring everyone together around the Thanksgiving table,” said Jacee Scoular, Sheetz’s director of brand strategy and design.

Where can you get a Thanksgiving sandwich at Disney World?

Disney Springs has you covered, according to Disney’s 2026 holiday food guide.

  • Earl of Sandwich: The Holiday Turkey Sandwich has roasted turkey, cornbread stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy on fresh bread. Disney lists it “now through Jan. 8.”

  • The Polite Pig: The Open Face Turkey Smash piles smoked turkey, mashed potatoes and cornbread stuffing on Texas toast, then drowns it in gravy. It runs Nov. 11 to Jan. 11.

Want something weirder? Splitsville is selling Thanksgiving Leftovers Egg Rolls with turkey, stuffing and cranberry from Nov. 2 to 29.

Which other chains might bring one back?

These are our guesses, based on what they sold before. None has announced a 2026 version yet.

  • Publix: The Turkey Cranberry Holiday Sub, with Boar’s Head turkey, smoked Gruyere, bacon and cranberry orange relish, came back Nov. 1 last year. Publix called it “a fan favorite for over a decade.” Florida fans, keep an eye on the deli in early November.

  • Primo Hoagies: The Primo Pilgrim, with turkey, stuffing, cranberry and mayo, returned in September 2025.

  • Disneyland: Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe sold a Thanks-mas Sandwich with turkey, stuffing, gravy and cranberry last season. Disneyland’s holiday menus could bring it back.

  • Panera: It reportedly sold a Thanksgiving-style turkey grilled cheese last year.

  • Cracker Barrel: Food blog Burger Beast reports a Country Fried Turkey Sandwich, but we couldn’t confirm it with Cracker Barrel.

What about the big sub chains? We didn’t find a Thanksgiving sandwich from Subway, Jersey Mike’s, Jimmy John’s or Potbelly in recent years. You can fake it with a turkey sub and a side of cranberry.

Who makes the best Thanksgiving sandwich?

Capriotti’s says the Bobbie was voted “Greatest Sandwich in America.” That came from an AOL.com reader poll back in 2009, so it’s an old crown, but it still has fans.

In a 2024 taste test, OutKick gave Publix’s holiday sub 4.1 out of 5 and Firehouse’s turkey sub 3.7.

Our pick? For the full holiday plate on a roll, the Sheetz Holidaze Sub sounds hard to beat, since the stuffing is baked into the bread. If you’re at Disney Springs, Earl of Sandwich is the easy grab. And for a sit-down gravy bomb, the Polite Pig’s Turkey Smash looks like a nap waiting to happen.

How long are Thanksgiving sandwiches available?

Most are limited-time items that disappear after the holidays.

  • Sheetz: through early December.

  • Earl of Sandwich at Disney Springs: through Jan. 8.

  • The Polite Pig: through Jan. 11.

  • Arby’s, Wawa and Firehouse: while supplies last.

  • Capriotti’s: all year, and Rewards members get a free side of gravy with a full-priced sub through the end of 2026.

Check your local store’s app before you go, since not every location carries every item. And maybe save room for the real thing on Nov. 26.
