It looks like we have another rumor for you today!
According to a couple of different sources Johnny Depp could be returning to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise as Captain Jack Sparrow.
Rumors have been popping up about Depp being replaced by a younger version of the character or even a new female Redd the Pirate lead. Disney has been saying they wanted to reboot the franchise with a female. Most of these rumors were met with the fandom asking for Depp.
According to We Got This Covered:
“..the recent turn of events in Depp’s legal battle and the overwhelming support from the public in his favor has some of the Mouse House executives now lobbying for his return behind the scenes.”
It is possible that we could be getting Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow again. I don’t think the franchise can perform well without out him.
For now it’s just a rumor, but We Got This Covered claim their source is reliable and have been correct on other Disney properties. So we shall see.
