Pillsbury’s holiday cookie doughs are hitting store shelves, including a Gingerbread Man Shape sugar cookie dough and a limited-edition Hot Cocoa cookie dough. A Gingerbread Stuffed Cupcake Kit is also new this season.

What is Pillsbury’s Gingerbread Man Shape cookie dough?

Pre-cut sugar cookies with a gingerbread man design. Each 9.1-ounce package makes 20 cookies, according to Pillsbury.

Like Pillsbury’s other Shape cookies, the design is built right into the dough. Just place them on a cookie sheet and bake. It’s an easy way to get the classic gingerbread look without rolling dough or using cookie cutters.

What does Pillsbury Hot Cocoa cookie dough taste like?

Like a mug of hot chocolate. The limited-edition Ready to Bake! dough tastes like hot cocoa “wrapped in a warm, delicious cookie,” according to Pillsbury.

It’s made with real cocoa and has no high fructose corn syrup or colors from artificial sources. Each 14-ounce box makes 12 big cookies.

Each 21.25-ounce box makes 24 cupcakes. You add water, oil and eggs, and the filling is included, so there’s no need to scoop it in separately, Parade reported.

Is there a matching Pillsbury gingerbread frosting?

Yes. Pillsbury Baking also released a new Gingerbread Frosting with classic gingerbread spices.

The 16-ounce tub frosts about two dozen cupcakes, and it’s kosher and gluten-free, according to Bake Magazine.

“Gingerbread is one of those flavors that instantly transports you to the holidays,” said Dan Anglemyer, chief operating officer at Hometown Food Company, which makes Pillsbury Baking products.

Where can you buy Pillsbury holiday cookies and cupcake kits?

At major grocery stores. The Gingerbread Stuffed Cupcake Kit and frosting are sold at Walmart and select retailers nationwide, Parade reported.

Pillsbury’s refrigerated cookie doughs are usually found near the biscuits and crescent rolls. Prices vary by store, and holiday items are only around for a limited time.

Sooner rather than later. Holiday Shape cookies tend to disappear from shelves as Christmas gets closer.
