New ‘Spider-Noir’ Images Have Dropped Featuring Cast Including Nic Cage

Images have been released for the upcoming ‘Spider-Noir’ show on MGM+ and then Amazon Prime Video. Starring Nicolas Cage as a 1930s Ben Reilly Spider-Man (not a variant of Peter Parker.)

Like “Godzilla Minus One” this show will offer the episodes in black & white and color when it drops.

Cage told Esquire he took inspiration from Humphry Bogart and Bugs Bunny, which somehow makes me want to watch it more.

“For me, this character was 70 percent Bogart, and 30 percent Bugs Bunny. I was basically Mel Blanc doing Bogart, with that sarcastic sense of humor. But it’s a hundred percent me.”

What we know about the series.

The show will be eight episodes long, but we don’t yet have an official release date other than spring 2026.

According to Wikipedia, the show is about an alternate universe 1930s Spider-Man.

“Spider-Noir is an upcoming American noir superhero television series developed by Oren Uziel for MGM+, based on Marvel Comics featuring the character Spider-Man Noir. The series follows an aging private investigator and superhero in an alternate universe of 1930s New York City who grapples with his past.”
