New Image Reveals the Dwarfs From Rachel Zegler’s Snow White!

Oh, the nightmare fuel! After speculating and wondering what the “magical creatures” would be in the newly titled Disney’s Snow White, we finally have some confirmation. No, Rachel Zegler won’t be starring next to baristas. Instead, they’ll be CGI dwarfs.

A story from The Hollywood Report gave us the first glimpse of the computer-generated horrors. Although the image doesn’t have the greatest resolution, we can see the uncanny valley clear as day:

Good lord! What is The Walt Disney Company thinking?!!

No wonder Disney is moving the movie from March 21, 2024, to March 21, 2025! There’s no way that the massive backlash regarding Zegler’s statements and the leaked set photos don’t have something to do with this.

OK, it’s probably due to the actor’s strike, but you can’t look at those dwarfs and tell me Disney isn’t freaking out. I mean, they hit Mars Needs Moms level of CGI creepiness.

Let’s hope it improves, but I’ve got a feeling that the movie’s director, Marc Webb, is sweating bullets. There’s so much going against Disney’s Snow White that an extra year of post-production probably won’t fix it.

In other Disney delay news, the Pixar sci-fi film Elio is also getting bumped. The March 1, 2024, date has slid to June 13, 2025. This is also blamed on the strike.

Jonathan Majors was also mentioned. His film Magazine Dreams was slated for a December 2023 release, but it has been scrubbed with no new date mentioned. As we covered yesterday, the actor’s assault trial is set to start in late November after a failed dismissal motion.

Further on in the THR piece, we learn that Deadpool 3 flew under the radar during the announced release restructuring. That could be good news.

What do you think of the dwarfs in the image? Do you get the feeling that this looks like that long-running “adult” meme? Let us know below!
