Netflix has finally released a new trailer for the upcoming animated ‘Stranger Things’ spinoff, releasing on April 23. ‘Stranger Things: Tales From ’85’ is the animated series that takes place between “Stranger Things” Seasons 2 and 3.
The show has been developed by the Duffer brothers and is meant to be like a Saturday morning cartoon from the 1980s.
Here is the synopsis
“In the winter of 1985, snow blankets the town and the horrors of the Upside Down are finally fading. Our heroes, Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max, have settled back into a normal life of D&D, snowball fights, and quiet days. But beneath the ice, something terrifying has awakened. Could it be from the Upside Down? From the depths of Hawkins Lab? Or from somewhere else entirely? Our heroes must race to solve this mystery and save Hawkins in this untold story set in the ‘Stranger Things’ universe.”

X has thoughts as well,
The voices are all over the place, creatures existing here that have never been mentioned afterwards and I imagine a plot that won’t bring anything new to the table as everything carries on as normal afterwards. pic.twitter.com/yE8KzQyXOT

“Something from the Upside Down must’ve survived…”
Yeah — Netflix’s obsession with milking one successful IP till the nostalgia dries up.
Fans asked for Season 5, closure, and quality storytelling — not a spin-off that screams content pipeline.
