Mom Issues Online Apology After Her Kids Got Sick All Over Disney Monorail

Visiting Disney Parks can be hard, aside from the constant planning, scheduling, and rushing. Sometimes things can not be planned for, and disaster strikes. While many won’t apologize, one mom has taken to Reddit to issue a formal apology to fellow guests that may have gotten puked on by her kids.

It seems that on January 28, at around 10:45, a mom was with her kids on the Monorail when one of them threw up, which made the other child throw up.

Now the mom has posted an apology for the situation

She says

“If you were on the Magic Kingdom monorail late at night Wednesday (Jan 28th) when it was absolutely packed, freezing cold, around 10:45PM, with a monorail line that felt like an hour long and a little girl suddenly threw up everywhere right after getting shoved on an over packed train… that was my daughter. Shortly after, my other daughter also got sick after getting covered in her sister’s puke (and then peed herself). It was without a doubt one of the most mortifying moments of my life as a parent.

We were immediately removed from the monorail. I have not stopped thinking about the people around us….especially anyone who may have gotten puke on them, their clothes, shoes, bags, anything. I am so incredibly sorry. You did nothing to deserve that, and I hate that your Disney night ended that way. To make it worse, we basically had an audience because the line was so long and backed up

If you are one of those people and you see this, please message me. I would love the chance to formally apologize and make it right in whatever way I can.

I also want to publicly thank the 3/4 absolute angels who came up to help me with Wet Ones, napkins, mints, kind words, and patience when I was completely overwhelmed and my kids were falling apart. You didn’t have to help, but you did and I’ll never forget that kindness.

Disney can be magical… and sometimes it can be pure UNEXPECTED CHAOS. (BTW Pretty sure we narrowed it down to food poisoning from universal btw because it came out no where and we have been here since Saturday the 24th with another family with no one else sick) anyway thanks for reading”

This kind of thing happens.

When I was a kid, my whole family got food poisoning from King Stefan’s Banquet Hall at Walt Disney World. It was where Cinderella’s Royal Table is now.

We were trapped on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and we made it out but hit the bathrooms immediately. Thankfully, we were fine after a day or so, but that was not fun. If we had been younger, I could see accidents happening.

I think it’s brave and fantastic of the mom to apologize and set an example of what to do when things like this happen. It is also great that she thanked the kind people who rushed in to help her.
