Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run- A New Mission To Feature The Manalorian and Grogu

Disney is finally overhauling the “Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run” attraction at Walt Disney World. Thanks to the Walt Disney World website, we have some more information about the new version of the attraction.

Of course, Disney is redoing it to match their newest movie, “The Mandalorian and Grogu” (I would have gone classic trilogy, but I digress.)

What we know.

The ride will now be listed as “Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – A New Mission.”

This “new mission” will start on May 22. 2026, in conjunction with the theatrical release of “The Mandalorian and Grogu.”

What is the new mission?

“…Join Din Djarin, the mysterious Mandalorian bounty hunter, and his youngling Grogu on an exciting new mission—tracking down elusive ex-Imperial officers throughout the galaxy.

Plus, for the first time ever, the crew will be in control of their own destination, leading to potential adventures on Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star around Endor or the just-announced bustling city-planet, Coruscant.

A new gameplay addition allows the engineer positions to communicate with Grogu during the mission.”

Riders will be able to make choices that lead the adventure to Bespin, Coruscant, or the wreckage of the second Death Star by Endor. Places that are more commonly known in “Star Wars” films and lore.

The most exciting news is that other rider positions, besides the pilot, will have more involvement in the experience. Frankly, if you aren’t flying, you don’t get much to do.

It does sound like everything else will mostly stay the same, with Hondo Ohnaka still sending you on the mission.

Again, this change will happen on May 22, 2026, the same Day “The Mandalorian and Grogu” hits theaters.
