Disney World’s first holiday party is Sunday, Nov. 8. Here are this year’s free cookies, the free ornament, the new photo spots and what the rain policy says.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starts this Sunday, Nov. 8, at Magic Kingdom. Now we know what’s in the free stuff pile.
On Nov. 4, WDWNT posted this year’s lineup of complimentary treats, the party’s keepsake ornament and the photo ops. Disney also has its weather policy up for 2026. Here’s all of it in one spot, cookies first, because obviously.
Want a preview of the big moment? Here’s last year’s Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade from MouseSteps, filmed during a 2025 party:
What free treats are at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2026?
Your party ticket gets you a treat at six spots around the park. Each one also has an allergy-friendly option:
-
The Lunching Pad: Snickerdoodle cookie, or an allergy-friendly ginger cookie
-
Gaston’s Tavern: Snowman-shaped pretzel, or allergy-friendly pretzel twists
-
Sunshine Tree Terrace: Hot cocoa cookie made with Dove chocolate, or an allergy-friendly double chocolate cookie
-
Tortuga Tavern: Frosted candy cane-flavored cookie, or allergy-friendly chocolate mint mini cookies
-
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe: Frosted green sprinkle cutout cookie, or allergy-friendly vanilla mini cookies
-
Storybook Circus Train Station: Cookie dough frosted cookie, or an allergy-friendly chocolate chip cookie
WDWNT says the allergy-friendly cookies are free of egg, fish, milk, peanut, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts and wheat, and they’re gluten-free. That’s a real win for families who usually end up skipping the snack stops.
Drinks haven’t been officially announced yet. In past years the party has handed out things like apple cider and hot cocoa, so expect something warm, even if Florida isn’t exactly cold.
What does the 2026 keepsake ornament look like?
This year’s free ornament shows Mickey and a group of elves riding a holiday train. “2026” sits in the upper corner, and the party’s name runs along the bottom.
You pick it up when you check in. That’s at the main entrance.
If you’re already inside Magic Kingdom before the party starts, there are check-in spots near Tortuga Tavern, at Mickey’s PhilHarMagic and at Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor.
Are there new photo spots at the Christmas party?
Yes. WDWNT lists two new character photo ops on Main Street, U.S.A.: Olaf Holiday, plus Holiday Mickey and Minnie. There’s also a new holiday photo card spot at the gazebo behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square, presented by Shutterfly.
A few of the PhotoPass Magic Shots on the list:
-
Jack’s Sleigh, on Main Street, U.S.A., near The Plaza Restaurant
-
A Muppet Christmas Carol shot in Liberty Square
-
A Stitch gift box, near the Tomorrowland bridge
-
A Mickey snowman, at the hub in front of Cinderella Castle
What happens if it rains at the party?
Disney says the party “will continue in the event of most inclement weather,” as quoted by Disney by Mark. The parade, fireworks, stage show and character meets are a different story. Disney’s event page says they’re “subject to cancellation in case of inclement or incoming weather.”
Inside the Magic quotes Disney saying “some attractions at Magic Kingdom park will not be operational during inclement weather.” Disney doesn’t say which ones.
The policy doesn’t mention refunds, exchanges or make-up dates either way. If a storm hits your night, ask Disney before you assume anything. And pack a poncho. It’s Florida.
When is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2026, and how much is it?
The party runs 25 nights, from Sunday, Nov. 8, through Tuesday, Dec. 22. Party hours are 7 p.m. to midnight, and ticket holders can walk into Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m.
Tickets run $189 to $229 plus tax, depending on the night. Kids ages 3 to 9 save $10.
Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members save $10 on select nights, Nov. 8 to 20 and Nov. 29 to Dec. 3. Disney’s page warns that tickets are limited and can run out on or before the day.
The lineup on Disney’s page includes:
-
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
-
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks
-
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration at Cinderella Castle
-
Frozen Holiday Surprise, Santa’s Christmas Carnival and Club Tinsel
-
Holiday versions of Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, Mad Tea Party, Jingle Cruise and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
One more thing to know: the first party, Nov. 8, comes before Disney World’s official holiday season starts on Nov. 13.
