Universal Orlando is preparing to open Epic Universe to the public on May 22, 2025. The Isle of Berk area (How To Train Your Dragon) is said to feature dragon drones, and WESH caught footage of a Hookfang drone, and it is incredibly impressive!
@wesh2orlando A new dragon has entered the Isle of Berk and it’s Hookfang. Chopper 2 caught this detailed shot during what looked to be drone testing for the How to Train Your Dragon themed world that will be in Universal Epic Universe. It is amazing! Look at that detail!
I am assuming this is the same drone people saw Epic Universe testing back in November 2024.

The Isle of Berk area is already going to be impressive and will be twice the size of other “worlds” in the theme park. But throw in dragons in the sky and dragons walking around, and we have some impressive theme park action!
Plus, there will be a Hiccup and Toothless meet and greet.

Toothless’s son Dart will also be at Epic Universe. I’m not sure if the other night lights will be available.
Universal’s Epic Universe will feature an impressive dragon animatronic named Dart

This is so exciting! Perfect timing, too, coinciding with the live-action “How To Train Your Dragon” film coming out on June 13, 2025.
