OK, I remember snickering at my parents when they’d get excited that a doo-wop band from their childhood was playing a local concert. Now, I’m the one seeing these decades-old acts coming to town and suddenly realizing I’ve hit that target demographic my folks were in all those years ago. Ugh.
Did you ever think you’d live to see the days when bands from the 1990s would be rolled out to entice people in their 40s to come to Disney Parks? Let that settle in. Reflect. Try not to let it overwhelm you.
Oh, and I see The Village People aren’t in this year’s lineup. It could be that the alleged blacklist is still in effect after their last performance in 2018. It’s a weird story about fraud and former band members stagging incidents with “aggressive” fans.
What are your opinions on this year’s bands? Let us know below!
