Dunkin’ made it official Wednesday: the purple Halloween Munchkins bucket is back and glows in the dark for the first time, with the Spider Donut and a new bat drink alongside.
Dunkin’s Halloween Munchkins bucket is officially back, and this year it lights up. Dunkin’ confirmed the new purple bucket on Wednesday, Oct. 14, the same day the Spider Donut returned and a new drink called the Berry Battie Daydream Refresher hit menus nationwide.
The date matches what The Takeout reported back in September, when the second wave of Dunkin’s Halloween menu was still a leak. Now it’s on the company’s own newsroom.
Dunkin’ calls the bucket “all-new.” It’s purple, it’s covered in Dunkin’ characters wearing costumes, and for the first time it glows in the dark.
What comes in the Dunkin’ Halloween Munchkins bucket?
Fifty Munchkins. Each bucket comes filled with a random 50-count mix of Munchkins donut holes, and that mix can include new sprinkle-covered Halloween Munchkins.
“Random” is Dunkin’s word, so don’t count on picking your own flavors. If you’ve got strong feelings about jelly, ask at the counter before you pay.
There’s a good-cause angle, too. Dunkin’ says $2 from every Halloween bucket goes to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, which helps kids “battling hunger or illness.”
How much is the Dunkin’ Halloween bucket in 2026?
Dunkin’ didn’t put a price in its announcement. Last year the bucket started at $14.69 and ran up to $20 at some stores, according to The Krazy Coupon Lady.
Each Dunkin’ sets its own prices, so yours could land anywhere in that range or a little past it.
The buckets also tend to vanish. In 2024, stores got about 100 buckets each, The Krazy Coupon Lady reported, and once they were gone, that was it. Calling your local store first isn’t a bad idea.
Is the Dunkin’ Spider Donut back?
Yes, nationwide, for a limited time. The Spider Donut is a purple-frosted donut with a Chocolate Glazed Munchkin sitting in the middle, chocolate icing legs and vanilla-flavored icing eyes.
It started as a plain bakery-case item. After a few years of fans asking for it, Dunkin’ now treats it as a Halloween tradition.
Dunkin’ has leaned all the way into it. The company calls the donut “Spidey D” and describes it as “a mischievous social media troublemaker,” which is a lot of personality for something you eat in four bites.
Participating restaurants are also selling Spider Donut merch:
-
Spider Donut Keychain: $9.99
-
Mystery Boo Box: $8.99, with one surprise inside, either a Spider Donut Squish, a pin set, an acrylic keychain or a bandana
There’s an online drop, too. The Spidey D Collection went up on DunkinRunsonMerch.com at noon ET Wednesday, with apparel, accessories, collectibles and decor priced from $22 to $100, while supplies last.
What is Dunkin’s Berry Battie Daydream Refresher?
It’s the new purple drink, and it comes with its own mascot, a bat named Berry Battie. The Refresher mixes berry clementine and blueberry flavors with oatmilk, then gets topped with Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam and candy eyes.
That purple cold foam first showed up on Sept. 30, when Dunkin’ kicked off its first Halloween wave with a Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero and a few other spooky drinks.
When is Dunkin’s free Bat Cup Sleeve giveaway?
Friday, Oct. 16. Buy a Berry Battie Daydream Refresher in any size that day and you can get a free, limited-edition Bat Cup Sleeve, a plush sleeve with purple wings that wraps around your cup.
The fine print: one sleeve per order, at participating Dunkin’ locations, while supplies last. If the bucket history is any guide, earlier in the day is the safer bet.
How long will Dunkin’s Halloween menu last?
Dunkin’ only says “for a limited time,” with no end date. The merch runs while supplies last.
A couple of smaller changes ride along with the big stuff. Frosted donuts swap their usual sprinkles for a purple, chocolate and white Halloween mix, and the Chocolate Glazed Munchkins get the same blend.
Dunkin’ has more than 14,200 restaurants in nearly 40 markets and is part of the Inspire Brands family, so “nationwide” covers a lot of ground. Once the Munchkins are gone, the bucket doubles as a trick-or-treat pail, and this is the first year it’ll be easy to find in a dark yard.
