Disney To Add Final “Uniting” Verse To “It’s A Small World” attractions

Disney has announced that they will be adding a new verse to the original Sherman Brothers song at the “It’s A Small World” attractions in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland on July 17.

Before Richard Sherman passed away, he wrote a new verse for the popular ride that will be played in the final scene of the attraction.

Richard Sherman’s son, Gregg Sherman, said the new verse was meant to unite us, saying it was meant to “celebrate that there’s more that unites us than divides us, and reinforce the message of that song.”

Here are the new lyrics for the finale scene,

Mother earth unites us in heart and mind
And the love we give makes us humankind
Through our vast wondrous land
When we stand hand in hand
It’s a small world after all.

Not in the parks? No problem.

A digital version of the song will be available on July 18, 2025. A vinyl record will also be released on July 18th for the 70th anniversary of “It’s A Small World.”
