Disney Parks has posted a video of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom getting Christmas holiday decorations installed for the upcoming holiday events.
Now that Halloween is over, the Magic Kingdom has been transformed for the Christmas holiday.
Disney Parks posted a video showcasing the transformation set to the song from Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.
The video is on the Disney Parks social media pages.
From the video, it seems they set it up in the rain this year.
It’s always fun to watch the decorations go up with these behind-the-scenes videos.
Do all the decorations go up in one night?
No.
The decorations are usually done over the course of a week to be ready for the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starting on November 8, 2026.
How many decorations go up?
According to Disney,
-
1,300+ Christmas trees across the entire Walt Disney World Resort, including the towering 65-foot Christmas tree in Main Street’s Town Square.
-
1,314 wreaths
-
15 miles of garland
-
300,000 yards of ribbon and bows
-
8.5 million lights
-
50,000 individual holiday decorations stored in Disney’s dedicated Holiday Services warehouse.
That is a lot of decorations that take more than one night to put up.
If you are visiting the Magic Kingdom in the next few days, the decorations will be growing in number until they are complete.
