Disney Adventure Already Hit With Illness As 9 People Get Sick

Disney’s latest cruise ship, the Disney Adventure, has already run into problems. The ship sails out of Singapore and was just launched on March 10, 2026.

The Disney Adventure is the first Disney Cruise Line ship dedicated to areas in Asia.

Reports are coming in that eight passengers and a crew member all became sickened after traveling on the Disney Adventure from March 16 to March 19.

According to The Straits Times, the Singapore Food Agency said they were investigating the illnesses of the 9 victims, which are being generalized as “gastroenteritis” at this time.
Gastroenteritis could be related to Salmonella or the Norovirus, but it is still unclear what the cause was.

The patients developed symptoms and sought medical attention between March 19 and March 20, but thankfully, none were hospitalized.

Norovirus is widely associated with cruise ship travel. But overall illness can spread very quickly in confined spaces and close quarters like a cruise ship.

Hopefully, the situation can be quickly investigated and any sources of illness will be dealt with swiftly.

It just sucks for the people who were excited to be on an early voyage of a new Disney Cruise Line ship.
