Since the controversial firing of Gina Carano from The Mandalorian, many have been speculating that the next Star Wars cast member to get targeted for “cancellation” will be Rosario Dawson, who plays fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano.
Dawson made headlines over an altercation with a trans friend, but has since clarified that charges have been dropped.
That doesn’t stop Twitter from firing up the hashtags, however, and regularly accusing Dawson of being “transphobic.”
It’s being reported by Small Screen that entertainment journalist Daniel Richtman stated some at Lucasfilm were warning Dawson not to push it on social media because of what happened with Gina Carano.
“Lucasfilm is afraid Dawson will be next after Gina Carano considering her past so [they] told her to be careful.”
Small Screen claimed they had doubts about the validity of the rumor, but Gina Carano did say that she “could share a story which would turn things around in the media but I can’t because it would sell out a friend” in her infamous Ben Shapiro interview.
Could she have been talking about Rosario Dawson also getting threatened?
It’s unlikely that the public ever know for certain what is actually going on over at Lucasfilm, as the company seems like it’s trying more and more to emulate a certain “wretched hive of scum and villainy” from that galaxy far, far away.
