For all of those who have been missing seeing some of your favorite Disney characters pop up while you’re eating breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can rejoice. Disney has announced that a handful of locations at their Disney Parks will return to having Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie, Pooh and various other characters give you a special visit during your dining experience.
In Disneyland this interaction will be returning to restaurants such as Minnie & Friends Breakfast at Disneyland Plaza Inn and Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast at Disney’s Grand California Hotel & Spa.
The Grand California Hotel & Spa had its characters return on July 22nd and the Disneyland Plaza Inn characters will return on August 12th. Certain liberties will be taken though as the characters will not directly approach your table, they will just walk by and wave while you take pictures of them stopping every so often. These are to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Certain locations such as Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel and the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure at The Grand California Hotel and Spa will not return for the time being, the Disney Princess one is understandable as the characters there have nothing covering the cast member’s face.
Be Out Guest in the Magic Kingdom has Beast walking around from table to table, but there is sadly no appearances from Belle or even Gaston. Over time more and more locations will be bringing back the character experiences but as for now you cannot approach them to no selfies with Mickey and Pluto for now.
