Blaze Pizza at Disney Springs raises prices and cuts 8 pizzas

A build-your-own pizza at the Disney Springs Blaze now costs $13.50, up from $11.95, and old favorites like the Meat Eater, Red Vine and White Top are off the menu.

Blaze Pizza at Disney Springs just got pricier, and a big chunk of its menu is gone.

The fast-casual pizza spot raised prices on most of its build-your-own pies and replaced its whole lineup of signature pizzas, WDW News Today reported on Thursday, Oct. 15.

Eight signature pizzas were cut: the Art Lover, BBQ Chkn, Green Stripe, Hot Link, Meat Eater, Red Vine, Veg Out and White Top.

If one of those was your Disney Springs order, you can still try to rebuild it at the toppings line. More on that below.

Here’s a look inside from The Kenna Family Adventures, posted in February, before the menu change:

How much is Blaze Pizza at Disney Springs now?

A build-your-own pizza with any toppings is $13.50, up from $11.95, according to WDW News Today. Here’s the rundown:

  • Build Your Own: $13.50, up from $11.95

  • Build Your Own 2 Top: $11.95, up from $10.95

  • Build Your Own 1 Top: $11.50, up from $9.95

  • Build Your Own Simple Pie: $7.95 for mozzarella, Parmesan and red sauce

That’s a $1.55 jump on both the full build-your-own and the one-topping pie. The Simple Pie is the only one of the four that didn’t go up.

Crust upgrades cost extra. Gluten-free dough is $3, high-rise dough is $3.50 and cauliflower crust is $4.

What signature pizzas does Blaze Pizza at Disney Springs have now?

Eight new ones, and most cost $13.50. The old signature pizzas were all $11.95, WDW News Today noted.

  • Margherita: red sauce, fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and basil

  • Carnivore: pepperoni, Canadian ham and crumbled meatball, finished with balsamic glaze

  • Meatball Pie: red sauce, mozzarella and dollops of ricotta

  • Blazed BBQ: BBQ sauce, roasted chicken, red onions and pickled jalapenos, finished with ranch

  • Four Cheese: mozzarella, ovalini mozzarella, ricotta and Parmesan

  • Herbivore: spicy red sauce, mushrooms, roasted garlic, cherry tomatoes and banana peppers, topped with arugula

  • Vegetarian Pizza: $16.58, on a gluten-free cauliflower crust with artichokes, black olives, red onions and spinach

  • Vegan Pizza: $15.50, with vegan cheese, vegan chorizo, mushrooms and green peppers

Yes, the vegetarian pie is $16.58. Not $16.50. Somebody at Blaze likes exact change.

What else changed on the Blaze Pizza menu?

The sides and desserts got shuffled too.

Cheesy bread went from $8.25 to $9.50, and the Pesto Garlic Cheesy Bread is gone. The Simple Salad and Citrus Berry Salad were swapped for a $9.95 side salad and a $12.50 entree salad.

Desserts now include Bookies for $3.25, cinnamon bread for $5.50 and a S’mores Pie for $3.50. Applesauce is $1.80, if that’s your thing.

Why did Blaze Pizza change its signature pizzas?

The chain did something similar nationwide two years ago. Blaze launched a “Chef Inspired” signature collection on May 29, 2024, replacing a lineup that hadn’t changed since 2012, Restaurant Dive reported.

Blaze’s marketing chief at the time, Christian Kuhn, told Restaurant Dive the old signature pizzas made up just 7% of sales. Their prices had drifted away from build-your-own prices, which confused customers, he said.

The Carnivore now on the Disney Springs menu was one of his examples. Kuhn said it has twice the pepperoni of the old Meat Eater and 50% more meatballs, plus ham.

He also said build-your-own prices had “slightly risen in general” with that change, and that increases varied by market.

When did Blaze Pizza come to Disney Springs?

Blaze announced the restaurant in July 2015, while Downtown Disney was in the middle of becoming Disney Springs, LaughingPlace reported then. The plan called for a 5,000-square-foot building with seats for about 200 people.

Co-founder Rick Wetzel promised “an amazing flagship restaurant.” The pitch was speed: 11-inch pizzas that cook in about 180 seconds in an open-flame oven.

Are Disney World prices going up?

In a lot of places, yes. WDW News Today tied the Blaze changes to other recent Walt Disney World price increases.

This month, Disney World has raised prices on character dining, buffets, annual passes and food and drinks, WDWNT reported on Oct. 14. At Magic Kingdom’s Curtain Call Collectibles, basic embroidery jumped from $4.99 to $7.99 a line.

Pizza just joined the list. The Simple Pie is still $7.95, though, and it comes with the same oven.
