8 new nonstop flights to Orlando start Nov. 12. Here’s where from

Avelo, Allegiant, Breeze, Southwest and Frontier are adding direct routes to Orlando International Airport, from a Dallas-area airport this month to three cities in Colombia in December.

Getting to Disney World and Universal just got easier from a few new places. Five airlines are adding eight new nonstop routes to Orlando International Airport (MCO), starting Nov. 12 and rolling out through June 2027.

The new flights connect Orlando to a Dallas-area airport, two Midwest cities, western Pennsylvania, Iowa and three cities in Colombia.

That’s a lot of new families who won’t have to connect in Atlanta to see Mickey.

If you haven’t flown into Orlando lately, here’s a tour of its newest terminal:

What new nonstop flights are coming to Orlando?

Here’s every route, by start date:

  • Avelo Airlines: McKinney National Airport (DTX) in the Dallas area to Orlando, starting Nov. 12, 2026. Five days a week: Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

  • Frontier Airlines: Bogota (BOG) to Orlando, daily, starting in December 2026.

  • Frontier Airlines: Cartagena (CTG) to Orlando, daily, starting in December 2026.

  • Frontier Airlines: Medellin (MDE) to Orlando, once a week, starting in December 2026.

  • Allegiant Air: Flint, Michigan (FNT) to Orlando, starting Feb. 10, 2027.

  • Allegiant Air: Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky (CVG) to Orlando, starting Feb. 12, 2027.

  • Breeze Airways: Latrobe, Pennsylvania’s Arnold Palmer Regional Airport (LBE) to Orlando, Wednesdays and Saturdays starting May 26, 2027.

  • Southwest Airlines: Des Moines, Iowa (DSM) to Orlando, Saturdays starting in June 2027.

Why is Frontier adding flights from Colombia to Orlando?

Demand. Frontier says it sees strong, unmet demand for low-cost travel between Orlando and Colombia. The three routes open up direct trips for travelers in Bogota, Cartagena and Medellin who want to visit the theme parks, and for Florida families visiting relatives in Colombia.

Where is McKinney National Airport?

North of Dallas, in Collin County, Texas. It’s a small airport, which is part of Avelo’s pitch. The airline’s founder, Andrew Levy, pointed to its low fares, the airport’s size and convenience, and Avelo’s on-time record.

Are the new Orlando flights on budget airlines?

Most of them. Avelo, Allegiant, Breeze and Frontier are all low-cost carriers, and Southwest built its name on cheap fares, too.

The base fares can be great, but read the fine print. Budget airlines often charge extra for carry-on bags, checked bags and picking your seat, and some routes only fly a few days a week. For a family of four headed to Disney World, those add-ons can stack up fast.

Price the whole trip, bags and seats included, before you click buy. A slightly higher fare on another airline can end up cheaper.

Which terminal will my Orlando flight use?

It depends on the airline, and it’s been changing. Allegiant and Sun Country moved to Terminal A on Oct. 29, and MCO’s newer Terminal C opened in 2022 for a growing list of airlines.

Check your airline’s app the day before you fly, especially if you’re picking someone up.

How do you get from the Orlando airport to Disney World?

Disney’s free Magical Express bus ended in 2022, so you’ll need a plan. Options include Mears Connect and Sunshine Flyer shuttles, rideshare, taxis and rental cars. Disney World is about 25 minutes away by car, depending on traffic.

What other new flights are coming to Orlando?

More international ones. ZIPAIR is bringing back nonstop flights between Orlando and Tokyo in 2027, which is good news for anyone hoping to hit both Disney World and Tokyo Disney Resort.

Airlines add Orlando routes all the time, since it’s one of the busiest airports in the country for vacation travel. Expect more announcements as 2027 schedules fill in.
