We finally have a Disney+ streaming release date for “Zootopia 2” months after the film debuted in theaters.
Disney+ subscribers will be able to watch the film with their paid subscription on March 11, 2026.
“Zootopia 2” was the highest-grossing domestic film in 2025, the highest-grossing Hollywood animated film, and the eighth-highest-grossing film of all time!
It was even bigger overseas and in countries like China.
I know many have been waiting for the official Disney+ release date!
What is the film about?
The synopsis reads,
“Rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake arrives in Zootropolis and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.”
“Zootopia 2” is highly rated on Rotten Tomatoes, boasting a 91% Critical Score and a 96% Audience Score.
Here are some of the quotes,
“Just as good as the first. Nice easter eggs and jokes for those 30+. Definitely a great movie that kept every member of our little family engaged.” – Gina W.
“Enjoyed this movie much more than expected. It had a great story too it that not only kids can enjoy but adults as well. Definitely would recommend it.” – Shane W.
“It’s not quite as good as the first one but the message is pertinent and bigger than the mystery. Plus it is just fun with some great voicework across the board.” – Movie Madness Podcast
“But watching the folks of Zootopia interact is like visiting a theme park. Just when you’re near the head of ride line, a parade breaks out. Both are musts.” – Sioux City Journal
“The heart of the story remains Hopps and Wilde, and the sparkling, witty, and endearing energy between them.” – Austin Chronicle
We loved it here at PNP, and 3/4 of us thought it was better than the first one.
