The Zombies franchise is back! Disney has just announced that a new Zombies 3 ‘Z3’ movie is coming to Disney+ on July 15th. My daughter said that they left the last one on a cliffhanger (she’s a Zombies fan) and now they are apparently bringing in aliens.
Here’s the post they released on social media for “Streaming Day”

This film is the third in the franchise. The first movie debuted in 2018 and the 2nd film was in 2020, so following the pattern 2022 is just right.
The synopsis reads:
“In the monster-plagued town of Seabrook, the local high school has three separate cliques: Cheerleaders, Zombies, and Werewolves. When alien tweens arrive to bring peace, they find instead the Earth-like disharmony that begins to infect them.”
Milo Manheim is returning as Zed Necrodopolis and Meg Donnelly is back as Addison Wells. In the third film Ru-Paul is coming in as Mothership “comedically passive-aggressive UFO” that brings the aliens to earth.”
It seems the aliens all have A- names like A-Lan (Matt Cornett), A-Li (Kyra Tantao) and A-Spen (Terry Hu.)
Other actors that will be in the film include: Chandler Kinney, Pearce Joza, Ariel Martin, Trevor Tordjman, Kylee Russell, Carla Jeffery, James Godfrey and Kingston Foster.
Fans can expect eight new songs and dance numbers for the film. According to the Fandom Wiki there will be an encore airing on August 12, 2022 at 8pm on the Disney Channel. To encourage people to watch the network version reportedly “will include bonus footage and an extra “lost song” musical number not featured in the streaming edition.”
This is going to be something I’m sure. If you have a Zombies fan at home, like I do, get ready for the invasion.
