I keep seeing a bunch of articles about another death at Walt Disney World in the last day or two. While there were five people who died in the span of a month, the last reported death was back on November 8.
Yes, five people have passed, but none in the last 10 days. It’s just recycled news.
Here are the recent deaths and death dates for each incident.
1. 31-year-old Summer Equitz -October 14
Summer Equitz was the first death that happened in about a month. Her family noticed she was missing, and later, she was found dead at the Contemporary Resort. Her death was ruled a suicide.
2. Unidentified man in his 60s – October 21
A man died after suffering a medical emergency at the Fort Wilderness Campground area. His death was ruled a natural cause.
3. 23-year-old Matthew Cohn – October 23, 2025
Matthew Cohn was another suicide that happened at the Contemporary Resort Area. Mr. Cohn jumped from the 12th floor of Bay Lake Tower. His death was ruled a suicide.
4. Unidentified woman in her 40s – November 2, 2025
A woman passed away at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and no foul play was suspected.
5. An unidentified individual – November 8, 2025
The most recent death was almost two weeks ago at Saratoga Springs Resort in Walt Disney World. It has been confirmed that an individual has passed away.
Thankfully, there have been no more reports of deaths since early November. Even though the media is presenting this fifth death as a “new” one, it really isn’t.
