Kristy Crampton, 46, was set to fly to Hagerstown, Maryland, after a visit to Walt Disney World. Her Memorial Day ended with her arrest, felony child abuse charges, and a $10k bond.

According to the Sanford Airport Police report, the pilot of the flight called the police to report a disturbance on the plane. When an officer arrived, he found that Ms. Crampton and her party had already voluntarily deplaned and were walking away.

Crampton claimed the boy called her “fat” and “Miss Piggy.” She also claimed that the child had been behaving poorly and was “rude” and “disrespectful” during the trip.

I’m assuming that this all took place during the boarding process before the plane took off.

Witnesses told police that Crampton took away the child’s phone, but bad behavior continued, and she hit the child with her fist and then a water bottle.

After that, she reportedly “slammed” his head into the window, causing the child to use his arms to protect his head.

A witness told police, “She was abusing them…whipping the s— out of the kid.”

It is currently unclear how the child was related to Crampton or their age, but they were part of the same party during the Walt Disney World Vacation.

I know these trips can be frustrating, and I can understand how being called “fat” could be triggering, but slamming a kid’s head into the window is never the answer. Miss Piggy is fabulous, so maybe she should have taken that as a compliment.
