We Found Some Winning Holiday Treats at TODAY Café Universal Studios Florida

The Holidays celebration at Universal Orlando involves entertainment, fun, and food. We found winning holiday treats at TODAY Café at Universal Studios Florida for guests to enjoy through December 31, 2023.

The Holidays celebration at Universal Orlando runs through December 31. This includes parades, special shows, unique character interactions, and food. A standard festive food location, TODAY Café, at Universal Studios Florida theme park, traditionally creates yummy holiday treats for each seasonal change. For the holiday season, TODAY Café advertised that five sweet treats would be sold for the holidays. The online holiday season menu lists the following items:

• Gingerbread Cream Pie – $5.99
• Pistachio Petit Gateaux – $6.49
• Peppermint Mocha Petit Cake – $6.49
• Holiday Pinecone – $7.49
• Butter Pecan Yule Log – $5.49.

Since these items came from TODAY Café, we had high hopes for the quality of the holiday options. We found one thing we really enjoyed. The other options were tasty. However, we will not prioritize them in the future.

On opening weekend, the Gingerbread Cream Pie was not available. Thus, we did not try this option. Nevertheless, we did try the other four options listed. Our group has differing opinions on the quality of these four treats, with one exception.

We found the Peppermint Mocha Petit Cake to be a true winner. You will need to enjoy peppermint. The peppermint layer on top tasted excellent. The mocha layer underneath paired well and did not overwhelm the peppermint. The overall texture works well. We appreciate this holiday option.

Differing Opinions About Holiday Treats at TODAY Café

We found the Butter Pecan Yule Log tasted fine. However, it lacked authentic butter pecan flavor. This item was served at the Universal Orlando Holidays celebration media event. So, Universal Orlando thought this was a top item. However, three reports from that event told us that this item tasted more like chocolate than butter pecan. We agree.

In contrast, we recommend the other two remaining items at TODAY Café over the Butter Pecan Yule Log. If you like the taste of pistachio, you will enjoy the Pistachio Petit Gateaux.

Also, the Holiday Pinecone brought some of the usual mousse-like goodness that Universal Orlando is known for. Our group was divided about the quality of this dessert, though. If you like a creamy mousse-like treat, give this a try.

Obviously, we preferred the Peppermint Petit Cake. However, our other two suggestions might work better for you. When you visit TODAY Café for holiday treats, let us know your thoughts. As always, eat like you mean it!
