With Bob Iger suddenly announcing he was stepping down as Disney CEO effective immediately, many investors and industry analysts were caught off guard.
CNBC recently had an exclusive interview with Bob Iger and his named successor Bob Chapek. Interviewer Julia Boorstin asked “the Bobs” some tough questions… to which she got some rather soft and non-committal answers.

Some of the topics brought up during the interview include the suddenness of Iger’s departure, whether or not this has been the plan of succession for a long time, and how Chapek plans to oversee Disney Plus when he has little experience in television.
Oh, and the coronavirus’ effect on Disney Cruise Line and the Parks.
Don’t expect any solid answers to any of the excellent questions. The answers given by Iger and Chapek were rehearsed and vague.
