Recently people are wondering about a rumored “Disney castle made of dicks” and many now are asking if it’s true. The answer is actually surprising because it is true and it isn’t true.
Let me explain.
When “The Little Mermaid” came out on VHS, the early cases had a version of King Triton’s castle has what looked to be a penis as one of the towers.

Disney of course replaced the artwork and a rumor started that a disgruntled artist was fired and changed the artwork to hide the penis beore he left. Of course Disney denies this rumor and says it was simply coincidence.
To be fair other spires on the cover have rounded tips or lopsided lines, but looks enough like a phalic image to question the intention. Especially when you add the priest from the wedding scene into the mix.

What happened with the Priest?
If you watch “The Little Mermaid” during Eric and Vanessa’s wedding you can see what some take to be the Priest’s “manhood” moving in his pants.
Disney says it is the Priest’s knee as he moves during the wedding ceremony.
Either way, Disney removed the entire bump from the film.
Here is a video by Chuck Penn 3 on YouTube that illustrates what I am talking about.
From these two instances it’s easy to see why many believe that the animators at Disney were having some fun with this film. And at the time Disney wasn’t having huge animated films yearly. “The Little Mermaid” is what kicked off the “Disney Rennaissance” that led us to where the company is today.
So no, there isn’t a “Disney castle made of dicks” but there is a tower in the castle that did resemble one. Whether it was intentional or not, we don’t know for sure.
