Walt Disney World After Hours Events Rematerialize Starting in 2024

For guests that love staying late in the theme parks during their Walt Disney World vacation, after hours events return in 2024. Fans of fireworks shows might want to examine buying a ticket to the Magic Kingdom version of these events.

Disney after hours

Walt Disney World is in the middle of the seasonal after-hours party season with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Soon, the holiday after hours parties will start at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with those lasting through most of December 2023. However, starting in 2024, the non-seasonal after hours events return.

Disney After Hours events are returning to Walt Disney World Resort starting January 10 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, January 11 at Magic Kingdom, and February 2 at Epcot. These separately ticketed events give guests extra time in the parks after closing. These events allow fans to explore one of the theme parks like never before.

During these events, the queue wait times for attractions are lower than during the daytime hours. This allows ride junkies to get more time on the rides, doing less waiting in line. Since these events have limited tickets sold, the theme parks should feel far less busy than normal.

Guests buying a Disney After Hours ticket receive three additional hours in one of the theme parks. Besides enjoying the attractions, guests will see Disney characters and enjoy complimentary snacks like Mickey ice cream, popcorn, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Disney After Hours Event Times

Event times at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Event times at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT are from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Guests buying these special events tickets may enter the theme park starting at 7:00 p.m. based on their ticket. This allows guests up to six hours in a Walt Disney World theme park by purchasing these special event tickets. This might be a great way to enjoy an evening at a Walt Disney World theme park for guests without annual passes.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney after hours

These special nights will occur at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from Jan. 10 through April 10, 2024. Magic Kingdom

Throughout Magic Kingdom, you can enjoy more than 20 attractions and experiences, including the thrilling new TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Jungle Cruise on select nights starting Jan. 11 through April 8, 2024. A standby queue is planned for TRON Lightcycle / Run during these events instead of the current virtual queue system.
