There is a report coming out from WDWNT that is saying the planned relocation for some Disney employees from California, many of them with Walt Disney Imagineering, to Lake Nona, Florida has been delayed by three years. The original plan was to relocate by 2023 and now it’s being pushed back to 2026.
According to the source the delay to mid-2026 was announced at a meeting.
This is now going to cause issues for some employees. When given the option to relocate or quit, some chose to quit. WDWNT also pointed out that some have sold their homes in California ahead of their planned relocation to Florida.
It’s good news for the ones that were holding on hoping that Disney would change their minds have just won a reprieve.
I do know that a bunch of people quit. Wow! This is not going to go over well.
Of course this hasn’t been confirmed by Disney publicly.
What do you think? Comment and let us know!
