The Friends at Hogwarts collection, a Harry Potter x Vera Bradley collab, is “flying into town on October 15,” according to an email Vera Bradley Outlet sent shoppers on Oct. 12. The email called it “a sneak peek at the pattern in our collection.”

The pattern is Friends at Hogwarts Ditsy Navy, a tiny all-over print on deep navy with gold stars.

What’s in the Friends at Hogwarts Ditsy Navy pattern?

From the swatch in Vera Bradley’s email, the quilted navy print is packed with little Hogwarts details:

• Hedwig, more than once, including one in a striped scarf

• Crookshanks, Hermione’s ginger cat

• A gray cat in a pointed wizard hat, likely meant as Professor McGonagall

• A Time-Turner, a Golden Snitch, a cauldron and a harp

• A pumpkin, a frog, a broom, house scarves and stacks of books

It’s a busier, darker take than most Vera Bradley prints. Think Hogwarts at night.

When does the Vera Bradley Friends at Hogwarts collection come out?

Thursday, Oct. 15, according to Vera Bradley Outlet.

Vera Bradley hasn’t posted the pieces or prices yet. As of Oct. 12, neither verabradley.com nor verabradleyoutlet.com listed a Friends at Hogwarts item, and the email didn’t say whether it’ll be sold on the main Vera Bradley site too.

Wasn’t Friends at Hogwarts out before?

Yes. Vera Bradley first launched Friends at Hogwarts in August 2022.

That 2022 drop came in two versions, AllEars reported at the time. The regular print featured Hedwig, Dobby, a three-headed dog (that’d be Fluffy) and Fawkes, plus the Hogwarts crest. The Ditsy version shrank things down with Crookshanks, Dobby, McGonagall in cat form and a Time-Turner. Pieces included:

• Small Vera Tote: $105

• Campus Backpack: $150

• Weekender Travel Bag: $160, with a detachable strap and five mesh pockets inside

• Hooded Fleece Robe: $75, in lightweight fleece

• Plush Throw Blanket: $75, at 50 by 80 inches

The 2026 swatch is labeled Ditsy Navy. It’s not clear yet whether that’s a new color or the 2022 Ditsy print coming back. We’ll know when the pieces go live.

What Harry Potter Vera Bradley bags are on sale now?

The Harry Potter Sorcerer’s Stone Collection, which launched in September. It’s on both Vera Bradley sites, with 12 pieces in three patterns: Challenges, Flying Keys and Knight Check. The names nod to the obstacles guarding the Sorcerer’s Stone in the first book.

And verabradley.com still has some 2025 Hogwarts Library pieces at 40% off, like a Mini Umbrella for $27 and an Original Zip Hipster for $60.

How many Harry Potter collections has Vera Bradley done?

Quite a few. The partnership goes back to at least July 2020, when Vera Bradley’s first Harry Potter collection, featuring the Home to Hogwarts pattern, came out with items from $20 to $165, TODAY reported. Since then:

• April 2021: a pattern based on Hogwarts’ Herbology class, House Beautiful reported.

• December 2021: Luna’s Medallion, a 16-style capsule from $19.99 to $135, Vera Bradley announced.

• August 2022: Friends at Hogwarts.

• 2025: Hogwarts Library pieces.

• September 2026: the Sorcerer’s Stone Collection.

What is Honeydukes?

It’s the sweet shop in Hogsmeade, the wizarding village near Hogwarts, and Vera Bradley Outlet’s Honeydukes pieces are covered in candy. They include a large hipster, a hanging travel organizer and an earbud bag charm.

Where can you buy Vera Bradley Harry Potter bags?

On verabradley.com and verabradleyoutlet.com, plus Vera Bradley stores. Since the Friends at Hogwarts news came from the outlet, that’s the first place to check on Oct. 15.

What are some fun facts about Vera Bradley’s Harry Potter bags?

The patterns hide jokes. Vera Bradley said Luna’s Medallion hid Luna’s radish earrings and her rabbit Patronus in the print.

Knight Check is a chess pun. Ron plays a giant game of wizard’s chess in Sorcerer’s Stone, and the pattern name plays off it.

Hedwig is the mascot again. She’s front and center in the Friends at Hogwarts email, carrying a letter sealed with red wax.

More Harry Potter is coming this winter. HBO’s Harry Potter series premieres Christmas Day on HBO and HBO Max, TV Guide reported. Expect a lot more Hogwarts gear on shelves before then.

The titles don’t match. HBO is using the British title, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, for season one, The Playlist reported. Vera Bradley went with the American Sorcerer’s Stone.
