V.I.Passholder Days Disney Offers Big Food Discounts But It Feels Like A Way To Try And Increase Sales

Disney has announced the return of V.I.Passholder Summer Days for Walt Disney World. With this, even Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can save 40% on select table service restaurants at the resort. The offers switch out partway through the summer to different offerings.

But these deals are only valid Monday through Thursday when Disney needs passholders to fill the time slots. Busier times and weekends are off the menu.

Passholders can have up to three guests, and the fine print says, “Discounts are not valid on certain items and cannot be combined with any other discount, offer or promotion.” I would make sure that what you order can receive the discount.

Which restaurants are included in the V.I.Passholder Event?

There are two time periods offered. Each time period features different restaurants.

Cape May Cafe (dinner only): Disney’s Beach Club Resort

Tusker House Restaurant (lunch and dinner only): Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Ale & Compass Restaurant (breakfast and lunch only): Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Coral Reef Restaurant: EPCOT
The Diamond Horseshoe: Magic Kingdom
Tiffins Restaurant: Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Whispering Canyon Cafe: Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Here is the fine print for the V.I.Passholder discounts.

• Valid Monday through Thursday only at participating locations, dine-in only, during the dates indicated above. Discounts apply to the regular price and exclude alcoholic beverages, tax and gratuity. Discounts are not valid on certain items and cannot be combined with any other discount, offer or promotion. Discounts are only for the use of Passholders and, unless otherwise noted, up to 3 Guests during each location’s regular operating hours. View additional details, restrictions and exclusions.
• Capacity and reservations for table-service restaurants are limited and subject to availability. Dining reservations are strongly recommended. Participating restaurants may change without notice.
• To enter a theme park, you will need valid admission and a park reservation. Park reservations are limited and subject to availability. Passholders may visit a park on a “good-to-go” day or after 2:00 PM without a park reservation (except when visiting Magic Kingdom park on Saturdays and Sundays). Pass blockout dates apply.
• At the time of purchase, Passholders must present their valid Annual Pass ID in the Tickets and Passes section of their My Disney Experience app and a valid photo ID. Learn how to link your Annual Pass to your account.

It just feels like Disney is offering this discount to fill up seats and make some money. It’s a great deal if you are an Annual Passholder, though! 40% off is significant! One just needs to be able to go Monday-Thursday.
