Universal Destinations & Experiences unveiled new information about the themed lands coming to the Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas.
This new resort focuses on families and young children, featuring several IPs that kids love.
The iconic IP will include,
Isle of Curiosity

Guests will enter the park through the Isle of Curiosity, themed as a “whimsical gateway with space for kids to explore.”
Here, guests can meet Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse and take part in a dance party.
DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp
Here, guests can meet Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse and take part in a dance party.
At Shrek’s Swamp, guests can meet Shrek and Fiona, get a photo in the onion carriage, or play in Shrek’s Swamp Rompin’ Stomp and Shrek’s Swamp Splash & Smash play areas.
DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar
Guests can meet Puss, Mama Luna, Perrito, and other friends. The focus in this area is carnival games, Barriles de Leche, and El Gato’s Meow.
Molly Murphy, President of Universal Creative

Here, the Yellow Minions want to stop the Purple Minions, and families “can take part in this action-packed competition, or just relax, and watch the chaos unfold.” This is another water play area with Minions meet-and-greets available.
Jurassic World Adventure Camp
Guests can meet a baby dinosaur and climb the Lookout Towers play area to get a “Pteranodon’s view of the park”.
DreamWorks’ TrollsFest
Take part in the ” liveliest party in Troll Kingdom.” Meet and Greets with Poppy, Branch, and the rest of the “Trolls gang” are available along with two play areas -Poppy’s Playland and Trolls Critter Crawl.
Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom
Meet SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, and Sandy Cheeks in Bikini Bottom, and explore Mussel Beach and Pineapple Paradise.
Sensory Gardens

Another feature of the Universal Kids Resort is the sensory gardens.
These gardens are designed for families to rest and explore. These spaces offer exploration with the senses of touch, sound, and color.
Molly Murphy, President of Universal Creative, offered this comment about the new park,
“Universal Kids Resort embodies the spirit of igniting thrill that drives everything we create — designed to bring our youngest guests and families together through play, creativity, and beloved characters and stories. It’s a destination made for kids and, as a regional theme park, brings Universal’s signature storytelling to families close to home.
An opening date hasn’t been announced yet, but Universal says it’s coming soon!
