Universal Studios Florida Replacing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit with New Fast & Furious Coaster

Universal Studios Florida has officially announced that its iconic Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster will be replaced with a brand-new Fast & Furious roller coaster experience. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit was permanently closed in August 2025, after 16 years of operation.

The new attraction, officially named Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift. Meanwhile, Fast & Furious: Supercharged will close in 2027.

The new High-Speed Fast & Furious Experience

 

Universal has confirmed that Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will occupy the former Rip Ride Rockit footprint when it opens in 2027. The new coaster is designed to bring the high-octane energy of the Fast & Furious film franchise to life.

The attraction will feature 360-degree drifting cars, a layout of more than 4,100 feet of track, and a vertical “spike” that towers roughly 170 feet above the park.
