We have a story that is interesting for sure. It comes from WDWNT, so full credit to them. They noticed that starting on September 8, Tuesdays and Thursdays are marked “Sold Out” though the end of the year.
It is possible for some dates to be “sold out” but is very unusual that they would all be on the same days of the week until the end of the year.
This does line up with rumors we were hearing about Orlando parks closing some offerings a couple of days a week to help with the costs. We have heard this same rumor in regards to Walt Disney World too, but nothing has been confirmed and frankly I didn’t think they would do it.
SeaWorld had already done something like this where they were closing a couple of days a week, but it’s a much smaller park. I’m not sure if Walt Disney World or Universal would do this for their main parks as people are already booked and they can’t really afford anything else to cause cancellations for the bookings they do have.
It is important to note that this is just for the Volcano Bay water park. So it isn’t the main areas. Since it’s on Tuesday and Thursday each week, it still would give many vacationers time to schedule a visit to the water park during a multiple day trip.
Nothing of course has been confirmed or announced. Definitely a good catch by WDWNT.
