It’s 2021 and both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando have attendance caps in place due to the pandemic. It’s up for debate on how well they are actually sticking to those numbers, but now it might get busier. According to the Orlando Weekly, Universal employees were told that their passes would be blacked out from March 13 until April 10th as they expect the crowds to return to the theme park.
According to their announcement they “anticipate spring break to span over multiple weeks.”
Will other Passholders see block out dates?
Guests with both the Universal Preferred and the Universal Premier passes will not see block out dates applied, at least not at this point.
However, those with Power Passes and Seasonal passes will face black out dates from March 27 – April 10th.

No word yet on how this will impact Disney numbers as well, but I’m assuming it’s going to make the entire area busier, which is normal for that time of year. I really hope it doesn’t bring about even more increases that could lead to potential shut downs.
Heads up if you are visiting during that time, you will likely see it busy.
