Two buses caught fire earlier today at Universal Orlando’s bus depot.
According to a spokesperson from Orange County Fire Rescue, teams responded to a “fully involved bus fire.”
The buses were both electric, lithium battery, buses located at the Universal Orlando bus depot.
Thankfully, no one was injured.
Universal gave this statement to News 6,
“A fire occurred earlier today in the area of our bus depot. It was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported. We’re grateful to the Orange County fire department for their swift response. Safety remains our top priority.”
Bioreconstruct on Twitter posted the following images of the buses after the fire was extinguished,
Again, no one was injured.
Recently, Universal Orlando added electric buses to their fleet, so it stands to reason that these buses were likely part of that upgrade.
