Two Barges Collide During Fantasmic Show At Walt Disney World

During the October 25 show of “Fantasmic” at Walt Disney World, two barges carrying character Cast Members collided and knocked one of the actors off their feet.

Usually, the two boats drift past each other, but something goes wrong, and they instead collide.

Prince Eric and Ariel are embracing on one barge while Belle and Beast are dancing on another. When the two barges collide, the Belle actress is knocked down, but the Beast actor helps her up, and they resume the dance as if nothing happened.

Hopefully, no one was hurt.

Earlier this year, another mishap happened during the Disneyland “Fantasmic” show, when Mickey Mouse’s sparkler effect went off too soon.

However, the actor continued handling the situation well.

Currently, “Fantasmic” takes place nightly at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There are two shows, one at 8 PM and one at 9:30 PM, each about 30 minutes long.

Here is the “Fantasmic” write-up from the Walt Disney World website,

“Featuring stunning effects, thrilling stunts, dazzling pyrotechnics and rousing music, this larger-than-life show is painted on a grand canvas of dancing water and light. Overflowing with silly and suspenseful surprises, it will leave your entire family smiling from ear-to-ear!”
