Disney has announced that the trailer for “Tron: Ares” will release tomorrow. This comes after an extended trailer debuted at CinemaCon this past week.
Here is the announcement for the trailer releasing on April 5, 2025.
It is unlikely as long as the CinemaCon trailer, but it’s better than noting. So far the third “Tron” film has been kept mostly secret but we do know that Jared Leto is playing Ares and Jeff Bridges is back as Kevin Flynn.
Here is the film synopsis that is currently available,
“Tron: Ares follows a highly sophisticated program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings.”
I loved the original “Tron” film but I wasn’t in love with the second one, mostly because we never really got Tron. I’m not yet sold on this third film. However, the music being by Nine Inch Nails (NIN) has me more interested.
My only concern is Jared Leto. He hasn’t had the best track record with movies as of late, although I did enjoy him as the Hatbox Ghost in “Disney’s Haunted Mansion” a couple of years ago.
Please don’t suck.
“Tron: Ares” releases to theaters on October 10, 2025.
