Top Three Things You Should Be Eating at Universal Orlando This Week (June 5th, 2022)

Welcome to this week “Top 3” article about food at Universal Orlando Resort. Summer theme park season continues in full force. Universal Orlando decided to buy into that idea this year. A new summer Tribute Store opened during the last portion of May. The Tribute Store commemorates the classic movies of the 1980s. Also, more “Welcome Back Summer” menu items appeared in the Battery Park area of Universal Studios Florida. Now that the formalities have been completed, I will give three food suggestions for this week.

Speaking of the “Welcome Back Summer” menu, the battery park location put up a new menu board a little over a week ago. The menu reflects a Latin cuisine theme. So far, the star of this menu is the Bagged Lunch. This costs $18.99 for adults and $11.99 for children. The actual white paper bag you receive includes a pressed Cuban sandwich, a guava and crème cheese quesito. In addition, as a side item, you get either yucca fries or Cajun chips served with mayo ketchup. Initial reviews indicate good quality sandwich and quesito. I suggest yucca fries as your side. The kid’s meal version offers half of a sandwich.

Staying in Universal Studios Florida, our next stop takes us to the Tribute Store. The retro themed store commemorates 1980s Universal movies such as E.T., Jaws, and Back to the Future. Many other 1980s movies appear in some form in the final room of the Tribute Store. Also with Jurassic World: Dominion movie opening June 10^th, the homages to Jurassic Park can be found in the final room of the store. In honor of the movies, a Jaws Movie Poster Trifle Cake appeared in the bakery case of the Tribute Store. This treat costs $10. Despite the “Movie Poster surrounding the trifle cake, these live up to the traditional quality of Universal trifle cakes. If you have a sweet tooth, this treat fulfills your sugary desires. Now, if sugar is not your thing, you could always buy some popcorn from the “concession” stand within the Tribute Store.

Finally, this week, June 6^th serves as National Churro Day. Universal Orlando loves to make jokes about churros and churros stands. If you need a churro this week at Universal Orlando, then I suggest visiting Islands of Adventure. The Dulce De Leche churro may be found in Jurassic Park area at Natural Selections food/beverage stand. Rarely are these churros too dry. Also, this snack stand offers many other solid snack options.
